2009 Kids Fishing Rodeo

   The 2009 Kids Fishing Rodeo was held on June 20th with 110 kids attending the event.  The members of the Northwest Bass Club would like to extend thanks to the Staff at Lake Salacoa for all their help with this event and to all of the individuals and companies who donated to the cause. 

  The event was broken up into 4 age groups: 0 to 4, 5 to 8, 9 to 11, and 12 to 16.  In the 0 to 4 age group Allie Helbert won 1st place with 10.25 pounds.  Second place was won by Nolan Weaver with 9.83 pounds.  Nolan also won big fish in this group with a 3.56 pound Carp.  Addison Boynton won third place with 6.12 pounds.

    In the 5 to 8 age group:  Brittany Dykes won 1st place with 12.24 pounds,  she also won big fish with a 2.91 pounder.  Jamonel Cronan won second place with 6.26 pounds, and CJ Howard won 3rd place with 5.43 pounds.

  In the 9 to 11 age group:  1st place was won by Noah Wilson  with 15.64 and big fish of 3.44.  2nd place was won by Blade Parker with 8.61 pounds.  3rd place was won by Caitlyn Cochran with 8.35 pounds.

    In the 12 to 16 age group:  Dalton Witt won 1st place with 8.15 pounds.  2nd place was won by Dillion Cochran with 7.33 pounds.  3rd place was won by Coby Sanford with 6.55 pounds.  Big fish for this group was won by Dylan Thomason with a 3.39 pound fish.
